  • 🏥 Hydromorphone and monitoring followed; overnight enzymes spiked above 1100 after another severe episode.

First cardiac event struck a previously perfect heart weeks after vaccination.

Can you share with us what happened? Um, so after I got the shot, it was— I felt fine afterwards. Um, I don't— I never got COVID. And then I think it was about a month afterwards, I woke up on a Saturday morning and I had some chest pains, and I thought maybe it was just a back cramp or something. And so I tried to stretch it out and I ended up kind of collapsing a little bit. And then I said to my mom, I think I might be having a heart attack. And at the time, it didn't really seem like something that was real. And anyway, she drove me to the Kentville Hospital and they hooked me up to an EKG machine and did blood work, and my enzyme levels were at 430. And for a normal person my age, the enzyme levels should be at 40. And I'm just gonna slow down. This is like a marker that they test for to see if you've had a heart attack, right?

So, um, if there's been damage to the heart, it's going to release this enzyme. And yours is at 400? Uh, it was at 730. Oh, okay. And it should be— it should be at 40. Right. Okay. So they basically tell you you have had a heart attack.

And then they, they didn't really know what was going on, so they put me in a room right away and started doing some more tests. And then, um, they put me on hydromorphone and a few other medications. And then my heart kind of settled down a little bit, and I was in the Kentville Hospital for 3 days, I believe. Right. But this— but that night at the hospital, so your first night at the hospital, something happens because you get up, go to the bathroom.
