You applied to the Vaccine Injury Support Program. Can you share with us what happened?
Jasmine Comeau · 7:44:07
Um, I applied it soon after I got injured. Um, I don't remember But they— it's been a nightmare. I've had— I don't remember. I've lost count of how many case managers I've had. I've had over 6. It's so hard to reach out to them. I find it was really hard. I've asked my mom to help me, help me with the vaccine support program because it was very hard for me. And they've asked for my medical records 3 times. We've had to go to the hospital like St. John Hospital and Ramashi Hospital, 3 different times to send my medical records to them.

And that was, we had to pay out of our money to have it shipped to the Vaccine Injury Support Program. And then on February 2024, My mom came to me and told me I got declined. She showed me the letter and it was due to lack of evidence and also due to multiple diagnosis. Because my doctors didn't know. My doctors doesn't know how to help me. So they've put depression as a diagnosis. They put anxiety as a diagnosis. They put functional, like, conversion disorder as a diagnosis.

And I remember telling my mom that, "Mom, I don't want to live anymore." And she was like, she told me, "No, we're going to appeal for it. We're going to keep fighting." She told me I have so much to achieve, and I'm so glad I have her. It's been 2 years and I'm still waiting. Like, we appealed 2 years ago and I'm still waiting for a new caseworker. And I, and I got asked to make a new account with the new program, the, um, the vaccine impact program.
