Well, Canada, our game is hockey. And there's thousands of kids around Canada, around this great country, who love hockey. And Sean was no different. It was his love and passion. And in order to keep playing hockey, which he played since he was a little kid, since he was old enough to play, in 2021 he was forced to take a shot, otherwise he couldn't play. And my son's biggest fear in life was needles. So if he had the choice, he wouldn't have taken it. He wanted to keep playing the game he loved. So in August of, um, 2021, he took his first shot on August 25th. On August 29th, he was rushed to emergency.

He was a very shy, humble boy. He, he didn't have a lot of friends, but he had some very close friends. He's mostly private. He enjoyed just watching movies and hanging around with his family and doing things fun whenever he had the chance, and He didn't care how popular he was. That didn't bother him. He just— he was a very respectable boy. Never said a swear word once in 17 years. I've never— I never saw him get mad once. Just such a loving angel. He really was an angel. I can't believe he was mine.

You know, you described him as shy. Can you give us an example? Can you explain What did that look like for Sean?

Well, he wouldn't come out and talk to people like I do. He would just kind of sit in the background, and if you talk to him, he'll talk back to you, of course. But he was just a very up-to-himself, private kind of kid, just like normal things that every other kid liked, right?

Um, can you share with us some of the most precious memories you have of him?

Um, he loved to sing. I have a video of him singing Twinkle Little Star, and I didn't force him to do it. He asked me, he said, can I sing a song? And I said yeah, and I put karaoke on the computer for him, and he sang Twinkle Little Star. And that's a video I still can't watch to this day. I'll break down if I start watching it. And Loved movies. We watched a movie together every weekend. We made it a point to watch a movie every time. And he loved action movies, of course, but I convinced him to watch Forrest Gump, and he didn't really want to because kids like explosions and stuff like that. And he watched it with me, and at the end he said, I'm so glad I watched that with you. And I'll never forget that moment. Because he trusted me. It wasn't his typical type of movie, but he loved it.
