Q&A: What Has Been Shorkey’s Experience with Medical Care?¶
Day 2 · 3:10:34 · Shawn Buckley · Kelly Shorkey · Dean Allison
- 🏥 After 55 specialists she is still being assessed; neurologists discharge her saying they “don’t know enough” and refuse vaccine-related learning.
- 🧠 A second opinion labeled her condition functional neurological disorder—“the woman’s disease”—and the doctor refused to “get into the politics.”
- 😢 She cries before every specialist visit because she now knows more about vaccine injury than the doctors deciding her case.
Management answer focuses solely on years of dismissive specialist encounters.

What has been your experience with medical care?
Kelly Shorkey · 3:10:37
Okay, well, you know, this is hard because these are my coworkers. I guess right off the bat, nobody did say it's not a vaccine injury. None of the doctors did that. I just find it now into the years, I have doctors that say, even though it's on record, 'You think you have a vaccine injury,' or I've read reports where the doctor states she thinks she's got cranial nerve damage when the language is there. I don't need to prove this. I don't need doctors to understand. If they had the time to come to my appointment prepared, they would be able to see that all of this stuff is is there. So how have I been treated? Well, I've 55 specialists, clinicians later, I'm still here being assessed, proving, you know, asking to prove how unwell really am I. Um, I have had a few good doctors that have, you know, I had one because I don't have a GP, so urgent care clinician who's like, who's following you?
Kelly Shorkey · 3:11:50
And I'm like, well, nobody. And he says, well, I'm, I'm only work weekends, but, you know, and I'm like, I'll take it. And just once a month I would go in just to check in. And he, you know, because there was nothing really we could do. We're just waiting to see the specialists. And that was the biggest disappointment, was going in and finally seeing the neurologists and the specialists were— because I would ask him like, please don't discharge me, there's something wrong. And they're like, well, we don't know enough about this. So I'm going to discharge you. And I would even ask, like, can I get another referral? And they said, well, we don't know what we would refer them to. And I said, well, this is a vaccine injury. Are you not interested in learning and even just keeping me on so that we can explore this in the future to learn what it is that's been happening to us? And they're like, no, that's not what we do here. And then I had a follow-up here, a second opinion with another neurologist.
Kelly Shorkey · 3:12:50
And we came down with the FND. That was—.
Kelly Shorkey · 3:12:53
They concurred.
Shawn Buckley · 3:12:54
Functional neurological disorder, which means we don't know.
Kelly Shorkey · 3:12:58
Exactly. Exactly. And it's also considered the woman's disease. But that's another thing too, where psychological stuff that's— so when I asked the second neurologist, could you please educate me on what this— what is going on with me through the vaccine? This is your job. You're the neurologist. Please find out what you know, because they have access to information I do not have access to. And I think it's their job. You're going to give me a diagnosis. It's your job to please explain to me what is going on with me. And so I said, with the COVID-19 vaccine injury, And this is the, the neurologist goes, no, no, no, I will not get into the politics of this. And I just, and I just go, I don't know what to do.
Kelly Shorkey · 3:13:46
I don't know where to go.
Shawn Buckley · 3:13:47
I think you just spoke volumes. You had said to me in an earlier interview that you cry every time you have to go to a specialist.
Kelly Shorkey · 3:13:55
Yeah.
Shawn Buckley · 3:13:55
Are you sure about that?
Kelly Shorkey · 3:13:57
Yeah. Well, I cry because I know I, I, would love to go in with a, a quick brochure, but I always get reassured, no, no, they'll come prepared and understanding my case. And every time I walk in and I'm like, oh no, they don't know what they're— they don't know what they're talking about because they don't have the experience. I have more experience with vaccine injury than a doctor that I see, and I'm expecting them to make a decision on, on something that they know nothing about. So it just— I would love to find a doctor who is interested in just wanting to be interested in, in learning on as to what's happened to us.
Dean Allison · 3:14:50
Uh, I don't really have any questions. You really touched on all the topics with your testimony. Um, what you did say with educating you when you go to your appointments, I think that's something you touched on that, that touches, I think, a lot of the testimonies, that the doctors aren't educating the patients on what they should be educating them on and how the process works. To move forward to find a diagnosis to get you through the process. So I don't have any questions, but thanks for being here. And a lot of your testimony hit on a lot of the topics that I don't have any questions.
Shawn Buckley · 3:15:31
Maybe my colleague does, I don't know. Thank you for being here. Okay, thank you. Thanks for being here and sharing your story. I don't have any questions, but you know what, after listening to all the witnesses that are— I have listened to them this morning Um, when these victims are being, say, discouraged or pushed away by these, uh, professionals, psychologists, neurologists, and all those, uh, it's just like, in my opinion, it's not only minimizing the, the current situation or the victims of, uh, these vaccine injuries, it's also setting a trend that, uh, we are not, uh, we, we don't want to be prepared for future situations so that they won't happen in next pandemic or any, any if we lead to that situation in future, God forbid. This is, uh, so I feel that, uh, these kind of inquiries are very important to change that mindset. And, uh, whether they are professional bodies, whether they are the scientists or the, the psychologists, the specialists, those assigned, the, the mindset needs to be changed so that, uh, not only these injuries be minimized, but they should be avoided altogether.
Shawn Buckley · 3:16:45
Yeah, thank you for being here.
