Hello, this is Jason Lavigne here with Senator Ron Johnson from the US, who's up here at the Allison Inquiry LIVE sharing some testimony with us. First of all, thank you very much for coming up to Canada.
Ron Johnson · 8:20:51
Well, thanks for coming to the event.
Jason Lavigne · 8:20:54
Wouldn't miss this for the world. We're one of the channels that were doing this from the very beginning. We've lost our YouTube channel twice covering this particular topic, and as you see in that room, there's probably 5 or 6 independent media sitting there, but no mainstream media. Normally for something like this, you see a whole wall of cameras and the big cameras right? And, uh, a lot of lights and all that, but you're not seeing that here in Canada. Are you a little bit surprised?
Speaker H · 8:21:18
No.
Ron Johnson · 8:21:19
Uh, you know, I talked about my, what I consider a blockbuster report from April 29th, uh, which revealed that Peter Marks, head of the division that approves vaccines, surveils for safety, was warned that an algorithm was going to hide safety signals. He was shown the safety signals, continued to use the old algorithm that hit him, and denies the safety signals to this day.
Dean Allison · 8:21:39
4 Days.
Ron Johnson · 8:21:40
So, uh, not one major news network, not one major, uh, newspaper has covered that as news. I've been interviewed on some of their talk shows, but it's never been covered as news. So, and we, we, we have capture, uh, of our media and of our federal health agencies by Big Pharma. Um, the fact that, uh, in America we allow Big Pharma to advertise on network TV. Uh, they don't— if you ever watch one of those drug ads, they're not selling the drug, they're buying the narrative. And they effectively bought the narrative during COVID and they're still buying it.
Jason Lavigne · 8:22:16
Well, I'm glad you used the word captured, because that was my next question. As you saw in like CNN and Anderson Cooper, brought to you by Pfizer, there'll be the little commercial break there. And you also talked about the Trusted News Initiative here in your testimony. Have you noticed that the institution has been fully captured, not just by the drug companies, but by a larger organization like the Trusted News Initiative? And what are your thoughts about trying to reverse that and maybe ending that kind of capturing of your media and up here in Canada as well?
Ron Johnson · 8:22:42
I, I lumped them all together as the, the COVID cartel and include the Biden administration, including media, including Big Pharma, include the federal, federal health agencies. So the, the Trusted News Initiative is just one of the, one of the tools they used, uh, you know, developed by the, the BBC, first of all, to combat misinformation on, on elections, but then they very effectively switched over to, uh, you know, misinformation on the coronavirus and, and COVID. They came up with a new term, mal-information, which is the truth but just not in the way that, uh, you know, the COVID cartel wants to hear it.
Jason Lavigne · 8:23:21
Now down in the US, it was a little bit more free because you actually do have freedom of speech down there. And you saw people like Joe Rogan talking about this very early, but then the media went after Joe Rogan, you know, painted that picture of him all orange because he was talking about having COVID and dealing with it. What were your thoughts at that time when you saw some of that happening?
Ron Johnson · 8:23:38
First of all, I could not have been appreciative enough of people like Joe Rogan, you know, Aaron Rodgers, you know, speaking out, being vilified for it. Uh, the problem the media had attacking Joe Rogan is he was probably more powerful than all of them. It has more listeners, and they, they believe him. He's a trusted source because he does his homework. Um, so no, I, I just truly appreciated that. And I don't think they laid a hand on Joe Rogan or Aaron Rodgers for that matter. And let's face it, all of us are being proven correct.
Jason Lavigne · 8:24:07
One of the things that came out of that was long-form unedited interviews like Joe Rogan, where people just come on and talk. One guest continues to have conversations back and forth and not edited or not scripted. Do you think there's a future for that kind format?
Ron Johnson · 8:24:22
I hope so. Probably a limited audience. I mean, people have relatively short attention spans, but if, you know, if you're, uh, interesting enough host and engaging enough, uh, uh, interviewee, uh, you might be able to hold people's attention. What happens an awful lot with Joe Rogan is that the, the most salient parts get broken up into segments. Same thing happened with my hearings, with my events. I'm sure what'll happen here is you'll end up with, you know, 30 seconds, a minute, 2 minutes, something like that, as segments, which is— that, that's fine, uh, as long as it's not completely taken out of context, which sometimes it can be. But, um, it works.
Jason Lavigne · 8:25:00
It works to an extent. It depends on the format and the host, I guess. Now, you also talked about Facebook, the platform, shutting down, uh, community groups during this.
