In Canada, we did it a little differently. We didn't have emergency use, so the Minister of Health issued an intramural interim order exempting all COVID drugs. So that would include remdesivir as well as the COVID-19 vaccine. So all COVID-19 drugs were exempted from the regular drug process where you have to prove safety and efficacy. Now the interesting thing is, is the interim order exempted them from having to go through the regular process, but they could have still chosen to go through the regular process. But no, they go through this emergency process. Do you know, Senator Johnson, under our process you didn't even have to submit the safety data prior to approval? And then even then it was only the known safety data. You just have to say, well, to get approval, well, we'll get it to you, you know, by, by this time, because our test didn't even include the word safety or the word efficacy. Our test was something like the Minister of Health has sufficient evidence to support the conclusion.

So now we're in a subjective test that the benefits of the drug outweigh the risks, having regard to the uncertainties concerning the benefits and risks and the urgent public health emergency presented by COVID-19. We've permanently to this day exempted the COVID-19 drugs from having to go through the regular process of proving safety and efficacy. Is that, is that similar to the United States? Is that what you're saying? Is there— they haven't had to really go through the regular process even to this day, even though COVID isn't an emergency.

Yeah, that's what Operation Warp Speed made possible, is they're able to circumvent all these studies that, you know, normally— Anthony Fauci, I think, that Milken Institute that we've talked about in the past, and he's saying it's going to take, you know, 10 years to really develop and prove these things. We did it in a number of months. Um, so, you know, unfortunately, in Canada, other countries they believed and they relied on the FDA and CDC and NIH in America, just like doctors, just like hospitals, that kind of stuff. They, they listened to and followed the directions of people that they shouldn't have done. But you mentioned remdesivir again.
